From any Metro or Central Train Station


1. Take the Metro to Berri UQAM station (main Metro hub in the city). For more fare information please see all the STM transit rates.

2. When departing the station take the "St-Catherine" street exit.

3. As you come out to the street, turn left and walk until the third traffic light, which is "St-Andre".

4. Turn right on St-Andre and walk one block until 1245 St-Andre.

From Central Bus Station


1. Upon arriving at the bus station take exit Berri street.

2. As you come out to the street, turn left and walk until the first traffic light, which is Boulevard de Maisonneuve.

3. Turn left on Boulevard de Maisonneuve and walk until the second traffic light, which is St-Andre.

4. Turn right on St-Andre and walk until 1245 St-Andre.

From Megabus Station

Departures & Arrivals will take place outside 997 St-Antoine West. The Montreal stop is located on the south end of Le 1000 de La Gauchetiere building (Metro Bonaventure).

2. When departing the station take the "St-Catherine" street exit.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What time is check-in? Check out?

    Check-in time starts at 3PM / Check out time is 11AM unless you choose a late check out (until 1PM) - which costs an extra 10$ per person.

  • Do you have a parking?

    We do have an underground parking available ONLY for our guests on a first-come-first-served basis: 20$ plus tax. If parking is full, our receptionists will gladly indicate you one near the hostel!

  • What are the terrace hours?

    Our rooftop terrace opens at 8AM and closes at 10PM.

  • Will the Jacuzzis be open during my stay?

    Our goal is to keep our jacuzzis open everyday, all year long! But for maintenance/security/weather reasons, they may be closed.

  • I am sick and I unfortunately cannot come to M Montreal!

    No worries, we understand! We have a 48-hour cancellation policy, just give us a call or send us an email and we will cancel the reservation for you! If you do not contact us before the 48 hours, we will apply a cancellation charge equal to the first night of your stay.

  • Do you have a breakfast? What are the hours?

    We serve a to go breakfast every morning $. Please reserve it upon check in to ensure availability

  • Can we leave our bags at the hostel?

    During your stay including your arrival and departure date, you can use our luggage room for free storage. If you are planning on visiting another city and want to leave any baggage with us for a few days, it costs 3$ per bag - per day.

  • Can I reserve the bottom bunk?

    Our policy is "first come, first served". Plus, the top bunk is pretty cool too!

  • Are you far from the Old Port?

    Absolutely not! By walk, we are only 10 min. away from the Old Port, 10 min. away from the Festival District, 5 min. away from the Latin Quarter and we are within the lively Village!

  • I want to visit Montreal, how do I do?

    We offer free maps of the city at the reception. If you are looking for a nice spot or a recommendation, our amazing staff will do their best to help you out! Plus, we also offer free Montreal walks every week (to visit cool neighbourhoods, festivals etc.)!

  • How can I pay?

    We accept cash, debit cards and credit cards (Visa - Mastercard - American Express - Discovery). Except for the M Bar and the M Cafe where we only accept cash.

  • How to come to M Montreal from the airport?

    The cheapest way is to take the 747 bus and it is 10$ in cash. The fastest would be by taxi, with a fixed price of 40$. Click HERE for more information.

  • Can I drink my 24 pack in the jacuzzi?

    Actually, no! For legal reasons, you can drink your own alcohol only in your room. If you're too thirsty, we also have a fantastic bar and a lovely cafe!


  • Can I smoke cigarettes at the M?

    Yes, only in the designated areas! Smoking is strictly prohibited - should we discover evidence of smoking in the property you will be charged a cleaning fee.

  • Can I bring a friend in my room?

    Only registered guests are allowed inside the room.

  • Can I bring a friend at the M Bar?

    Absolutely! Everyone is welcome at the bar!
